KARACHI: Four bullet-riddled bodies were found from the shrine of “Samundri Baba” near link road in Steel Town area on Friday morning.
SSP Malir Rao Anwar has informed that the deceased were blindfolded, which indicates that they might have been murdered at a different spot and later thrown in the empty plot as neither there is any sign of blood nor empty shells of bullets were found at the site.
He said that all of the four have been shot in their heads from close range. The bodies bore no sign of torture.
The identity of the victims could not be ascertained immediately.
The Medico Legal Officer (MLO) at the Jinnah Postgraduate and Medical Center (JPMC) confirmed the deceased were gunned down.
The deceased seemed to be of pakhtoon origin from their faces and appearance.
An FIR of the incidence has been lounged with the Steel town PS and investigation has been started in this respect. No further information regarding the incident has been reviled by the police.
The bodies were initially shifted to the JPMC. Later, two bodies were transferred to Edhi morgue while the remaining to Chhipa morgue.
Rescue and hospital sources said that ages of the victims were between 25 and 30 years.
