Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari celebrated the Christmas with the Christian community and cut a Christmas cake on December 25. Speaking to the auspicious gathering, the PPP chairman cordially wished the Christian fraternity a merry Christmas. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PPP was the custodian of social justice, parity, religious and interfaith harmony in the country and its advocacy for the prevalence of peace and tranquility across the world was heavily established. While lauding the Christian fraternity, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the Christians of Pakistan had greatly contributed in a vast variety of fields especially education, vocational training and defence. He said that their contributions deserved due recognition and respect. The Christian representatives thanked Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for a vibrant and brighter role that his party had played for the betterment of the Christians in Pakistan. Bishop Sadiq Daniel, Senator Anwer Lal Din, Sindh MPA Anthony Naveed, PPP Minority Wing President Lal Chund Ukrani, PPP leaders and large number of Christian representatives were present on the occasion.
