PepsiCo and Cinepax announced the extension of their exclusive beverage and snacks agreement, for a period of three years. Cinepax is the largest – and fastest growing – private cinema chain in Pakistan. The agreement extension provides the opportunity for PepsiCo’s entire product portfolio to be enjoyed by cinema-goers across the country, which includes snacks such as Lay’s, Cheetos and Kurkure, and beverages such as Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Mountain Dew and Aquafina. The agreement renewal ceremony was attended by senior leadership from both companies, including PepsiCo Pakistan and Afghanistan Vice President and General Manager Furqan Ahmed Syed and Cinepax Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Mariam El Bacha. “PepsiCo is delighted to extend this exclusivity agreement with Cinepax,” said Syed. “Partnerships such as this with Cinepax are especially exciting because of the opportunity it presents us to offer our entire snacks and beverages portfolio. We look forward to strengthening this relationship with time.” “We are thrilled to renew our long term partnership agreement with PepsiCo”, said Bacha. “PepsiCo has been a great supporter of our company since we started this partnership in 2012 and we have grown together in this alliance. PepsiCo’s wealth of knowledge and expertise in Pakistan, and their will to share it with us, will give us a platform to develop an unrivaled cinema experience for all Pakistanis.” Published in Daily Times, December 11th 2018.
