KARACHI: The security forces on Saturday claimed to arrest two alleged facilitators involved in Chinese Consulate attacks in Karachi. The police and law enforcement agencies in a joint operation claimed to arrest one of the suspects from Karachi and other from Shahdadpur, around 200 kilometers from the metropolis. Sources told that one of the suspects is believed to have been in contact with the terrorist before they attacked the Chinese Consulate. Earlier on Friday, three suicide attackers stormed the Chinese consulate in Karachi amid a series of gunshots and an explosion, but were killed before they could get into the building in a car packed with explosives, police said. At least two police officers were killed in the attack, which was claimed by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), an insurgent group that opposes Chinese projects in Balochistan.A man from Quetta and his son who were visiting the embassy to apply for Chinese visas were also killed in the attack.
