RAWALPINDI: A C-130 transport aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) caught fire at Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi while landing on Friday afternoon. PAF spokesman Air Commodore Ali confirmed the incident and said that PAF C-130 on a routine training mission made an emergency landing at Nur khan Base. “The fire of the aircraft has been extinguished”, the spokesman told Daily Times. Commodore Ali further said all crew members on board the aircraft are safe. The spokesman said air headquarters have ordered a board of inquiry to ascertain the cause of accident. Meanwhile rescue 1122 also reached at the airbase to extinguish the fire along with fire fighting team of PAF at the base. PAF authorities have temporarily suspended all flight operations on the base due to the incident till further orders.
