A security guard of a private company allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself inside a branch of a private bank in Memon Goth on Friday. A security guard allegedly committed suicide inside a bank’s washroom where hwas deputed as a security guard. The incident took place inside a private bank located within the limits of Memon Goth police station. According to SHO Gulzar, deceased was a guard of a Pak Security Company and was deputed at a bank. Gulzar said that the guard came to duty on Friday as per routine. “Shortly after he came to duty, he went to the washroom and shot himself in the head. He died on the spot,” said SHO Gulzar. Reportedly, Muhammad Jorial aged 24 hailed from Khairpur and resided in the Razzaqabad area. Jorial’s body was taken to to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for autopsy and later handed over to his family for burial process. According to the police, the actual motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained but it appears that the man killed himself due to domestic issues. Further investigation is underway. Separately, a security guard was arrested after he shot and killed his fellow guard mistakenly while cleaning his gun. The incident occurred within the limits of Gulshan-e-Maymar police station. Police officials said that the deceased guard was identified as 30-year-old Sunil Kumar. According to SHO Jamshed Khan, deceased and arrested guards were friends with each other and deputed on a security duty in Gulshan-e-Maymar area since the past few months. Khan said that the arrested guard namely Munawar recorded his statement to the police. He said that Munawar admitted in his statement that he fired a bullet mistakenly while cleaning his gun. Reportedly, the body of the deceased guard was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to his family.
