Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar said that Sarfraz Ahmed needs to take bold decisions if he wants to continue captaining Pakistan’s national.
In an interview with BBC Urdu, the former cricketer said that Sarfraz needs to lead the team like he did in 2017 Champions Trophy which he couldn’t do in the Asia Cup.
While responding to a question regarding Pakistan performance during the Asia cup, Akhtar stated that “the team looked confused till the last moments. They were under pressure and looked nervous.”
Moreover, Akhtar also talked about the upcoming Test series against Australia and he said that if Sarfraz fails in the series and cannot lead the side then opening batsman Babar Azam would be suitable for captaincy for the test side.
Furthermore, he adviced that the playing 11 should be picking by keeping in mind all the three formats.
