ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party leader Latif Khosa on Wednesday said there is no way the Prime Minister can come out of the Panama leaks case. Talking to Daily Times, he said Nawaz Sharif has no evidence of the money trail, adding, “Object to inaugurate the project was to tell the people that we have launched these projects during our tenure.” He said that the PML-N ministers were threatening dire consequences if the PM was affected with the Panama leaks verdict. “The people of Pakistan know that neither the inauguration of incomplete projects is real development nor it causes true prosperity of the country,” he added. He said the PPP is gaining strength in KP again as the angry workers are rejoining the party. Political alliances take place on national and local level in politics. To a question, Khosa said, “We will welcome the winning political party in Sindh but the foundations of PPP in Sindh are very strong and it makes no difference while coming and outgoing of any political party into power.” He said that former President Asif Zardari has categorically stated that the recent attack on PPP leader Shaukat Basra exposed the good-governance claims of the Punjab Chief Minister. Zardari did not accept the committee formed by the CM and said that it comprises of blue-eyed officials of the CM and Punjab police is not trustworthy. “The Punjab government has also constituted a committee regarding the incident of Model Town and its performance is still a mark of question,” he added. He alleged that the PML-N is using tactics to suppress its political opponents as it did not care for parliament and democracy even FIA and NAB could not take action against them. It is useless to expect justice from the government, he concluded.
