Hashoo Foundation (HF) and Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA) signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate mutually in various fields. Hashoo Foundation will facilitate in the capacity building of GB-DMA in different aspects of environment, climate compatible development and DRR/DRM in its development projects in the context of vulnerable groups in Pakistan. Both the parties will invite each other to participate in showcasing and planning workshops/conferences/events/focus group discussions of mutual interest, especially focusing on vulnerable groups in Pakistan and possible collaboration in this regard. They will also initiate joint research to seek funding sources for mutually agreed projects. GB-DMA will facilitate in the working of HF for compatible development to mitigate the risks of disaster. Both the parties will participate in the cooperative activities in relation to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and disaster management with additional focus on vulnerable groups. The MOU envisages an Institutional Cooperation and to establish long-term mutual collaboration between Hashoo Foundation (HF) and Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA).
