LAHORE: Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced the results of Intermediate Annual Examinations 2018 on Wednesday. As per the statistics, 167,674 students appeared in the examination and 105,891 passed. The total percentage of success remained 63.15 percent. A ceremony was held at a local hotel with Higher Education Minister Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfaraz in honour of the position-holding students by the Lahore Board. Lahore Board Chairman Professor Muhammad Ismail, secretary Dr Rehana Ilyas, controller Professor Nasir Jamil, position-holding students, teachers and families of the students attended the ceremony. Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfaraz distributed medals and certificates among the students. The students securing first, second and third positions were given Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 cash prizes respectively along with medals and letters of appreciation. The teachers were also given medals, whereas topper Kashf Sanaullah was given a laptop. The Lahore Board chairman highlighted different aspects of the result adding that late-free result has been announced well in time. The provincial minister congratulated the students and hoped that they will continue the tradition of educational achievements in their future life. The position-holding students reiterated the commitment that they will work hard in future as well to earn a niche for themselves in their practical lives.
