Cabinet to brief PM Imran twice every week

Published on: August 26, 2018 7:36 PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered cabinet members to brief him twice every week, it was said on Sunday.

PM Imran has directed his cabinet to brief him twice every week in order to ensure prompt implementation of PTI’s 100-day agenda. The weekly meetings will take place every Tuesday and Friday.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman also directed heads of all ministries and divisions to prepare presentations pertaining to the 100-day agenda, adding that delays in work would not be tolerated.

Khan has so far called two cabinet meetings since becoming the premier, in which the party has decided to eliminate discretionary funds for the president, prime minister, federal ministers and members of parliament.

Moreover, the cabinet meetings have also stressed on the need to keep a check on overall expenditure, while government office hours have also been revised.
