KARACHI: Chairman All Pakistan Mulsim League(APML) Dr Amjad, a close aide of the founder of the party Pervez Musharraf, has resigned form his post on Friday. Addressing a press conference here, Amjad said he had parted ways with the APML and would send his resignation to the Election Commission of Pakistan by Monday. Amjad replaced Musharraf as APML head after the latter had to resign due to some legal issues on June 22. It is to be noted that he had announced his party’s support for Imran Khan’s PTI in July 25 polls. Musharraf was not allowed to contest the general elections due to cases registered against him.
