MMA pledges to bring Islamic revolution after winning polls

Published on: July 19, 2018 2:46 AM

The election day will prove to be an ‘accountability day’ for the wrongdoers as after winning the upcoming polls, the Muttahida Majlis-i-Ammal (MMA) will launch jihad against corruption and injustices in the country, Jamaat-i-Islami chief and MMA Vice President Senator Sirajul Haq said on Wednesday.

After getting success in the upcoming election, MMA will bring Islamic revolution in the country, he said while addressing a public gathering in Darwazgai area of Safi tehsil in Mohmand. He said the public will reject people with vested interests in the election and will elect only MMA candidates throughout the country.”People will kick out investors on July 25,” he asserted.

The JI chief said that his party will continue its struggle against corruption until the country is free from the menace. While criticising the PTI, he said the people who introduced indecency in politics can’t make a new Pakistan. He said the time has come for the younger generation of Mohmand district to take part in development of the area by electing the right candidates in the upcoming elections.

The JI chief said that education and health institutions in Mohmand were destroyed during the military operations which were not reconstructed later. He lamented that the children and family members of the former parliamentarians from the region were studying in Europe while those of the poor tribesmen didn’t have even primary schools in their areas.

The gathering was also addressed by JI provincial chief Senator Mushtaq Ahmad, JI leader Haroon Rashid and candidate from NA-42 Saeed Khan.

It may be mentioned here that as JI chief Sirajul Haq was invited to address the public, the stage fell down at once. Resultantly, five people, including journalists, were injured.
