LAHORE: A 18-member delegation of students belongs to various countries visited the Lahore Arts Council and took interest in the diverse sections of the Alhamra here on Tuesday. The students, belong to Thailand, Spain, Oman, Jordan, UAE, KSA, Swizerland Malaysia, Cameroon, Croatia and other countries, are attending 4-8 weeks summer internship programme in the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad. On the occasion, Alhamra Chairman Tuqeer Nasir, Alhamra Administration Deputy Director Aftab Ansari and other officials were present. Alhamra Executive Director Captain (r) Atta Muhammad Khan briefed students about Art Gallery, Academy of Performing Arts, Adbi Bethak and Cultural activities in the council. He said it is the key objective of Lahore Arts Council to promote “our colorful culture and wonderful traditions to the whole world and make the world believe that Pakistan is the great place to visit’. He further said that Alhamra would always gives its best to boost the mutual relationship with all countries. Alhamra Chairman Tuqeer Nasir while talking to the students said: ‘you all are representative of your countries and I hope when you people go back to your homeland you present a better and positive image of Pakistan’. Students appreciated the council saying “We are really happy to come here and are hopeful for the future as well.” They said that we are going back with the very different and positive image of art loving people and a peaceful Pakistan. Students will take courses regarding their specific areas of interest during stay in Pakistan, including Engineering, IT, Applied Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Management Sciences, Natural Sciences and Art, Design & Architecture.
