ECP reveals Larkana voters’ statistics as tough elections approach

LARKANA: As many as 703,255 have been registered to cast their votes in the upcoming general elections-2018 for two national assembly (NA) and four provincial assembly (PA) seats of Larkana district.

According to statistics revealed by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), 336 polling stations will be established for NA-200 constituency of Larkana-1 and 359 for NA-201 constituency of Larkana-2.

In total, 695 polling stations will be established along with 2,221 polling booths for voting for two NA seats.

Furthermore, as many as 336,139 registered voters will practice their right to cast votes including 153,581 female voters for NA-200, whereas 367,116 voters will cast votes for NA-201 including 165,521 female voters.

Regarding four PA seats, as many as 703,255 voters will cast votes to elect their representatives including 318,706 female voters. Moreover, 189 polling stations will be established for PS-10, 147 for PS-11, 180 for PS-12 and 179 for PS-13, respectively.

Hence, 695 polling stations will be established for PA seats along with 2,221 polling booths. In PA seat PS-10, as many as 187,213 voters will cast votes including 86,151 women voters, 148,926 voters will cast votes in PS-11 including 67,430 women. In PS-12, 184,985 voters have been registered including 84,013 female voters and in PS-13, 182,113 voters will cast votes including 81,112 women.

In total, 703,255 voters have been registered to cast votes for four PA seats of Larkana including 286,923 female.

A tough election contest is expected for all seats, particularly for PS-10 where PTI Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto would be challenging PPP Faryal Talpur, if her nomination form passes scrutiny.

For NA-200, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would be contesting against Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Rashid Mahmood Soomro who is supported by Larkana Awami Ittehad and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA).
