
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Office on Thursday night condemned the targeted killing of Kashmiri journalist Shujaat Bukhari.
Bukhari, editor of an English language daily Rising Kashmir was killed yesterday outside his office by unidentified gunmen along with his guard in Srinagar.
Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Dr Faisal condemned the assassination of Bukhari on twitter.

Bukhari was targeted hours after his final tweet citing a link of United Nation’s (UN) human rights issued its report after 30 years, calling for immediate international inquiry into the Kashmiri atrocities.
The attack on Bukhari left a police guard and the vehicle driver critically injured.
Dr Faisal extending his condolences to the bereaved family tweeted:

FO spokesperson said that the sudden targeted killing of the Kashmiri journalist should raise alarm for India and investigation should be carried out so that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
