GUJRANWALA: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team on Saturday launched a crackdown and sealed three food outlets over unhygienic and poor cleanliness conditions. Reportedly, the team inspected various markets while three food outlets including Koh-e-Himalaya Bakers in Pondanwala Chowk, Billa Fast Food in Peoples Colony and Amir Chargha House were sealed. CDA strike enters third day while patients suffer Chemists’ and Druggists’ Association (CDA) shutter-down strike against Drug Act 2017 entered its third day on Saturday. All medical stores in the city and tehsils remained closed causing extreme difficulties for the citizens and patients to buy medicines. The office bearers of CDA said that their strike would continue till their demands are accepted. Father dies, son injures in accident A man died while his son sustained severe injuries on Saturday while they were travelling on a motorcycle which rammed into another motorcycle at GT Road in Kamoki. Reportedly, Mehdi Hassan died on the spot. Both were rushed to DHQ Hospital by the Rescue 1122 team. Boy sexually assaulted by youth A boy was sexually abused by a youth at Zahid Colony in Gujranwala. According to a report, Salman was playing in the street when the accused Ali took him at his house and abused him. Consequently, the passersby listened to the cries of the boy and gathered there.
