PESHAWAR: Dr Shakil Afridi, who aided the CIA in tracking down Osama Bin Laden, was shifted from Peshawar’s Central Jail to the more notorious Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi over security concerns. According to a senior prison official in Peshawar, intelligence officials moved Dr Afridi late Thursday night as fears over security mounted. Afridi was indicted in May 2012 and handed a jail sentence for 33 years on the pretence that he had ties with banned outfits. He has spent the last seven years in Peshawar’s Central Jail.
