The trailer of the upcoming movie, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ released on Wednesday afternoon, starring Swara Bhaskar, Sonam Kapoor and Shikha Talsania in lead roles, along with Kareena Kapoor Khan.
‘Veere Di Wedding’ is based on the story of four girlfriends and promises to be a fun affair. Produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film is said to be a women-centric film.
While talking about the movie, Kareena said, “I’m possessive about my friends, and this film reflects that side of me. It’s the story of four girls who attend my wedding and all the dhamaal that it involves. It showcases women and their emotions. It’s the right time to do this kind of film.”
In the three-minute trailer, it is shown that Kareena Kapoor’s character Kalindi Puri is getting married to Rishabh, played by Sumeet Vyas. However, it seems like Kalindi is getting cold feet, as the wedding is getting closer.
Even though the movie is being promoted as ‘not a chick flick’, the teaser suggests otherwise. It shows everything all the way from bonding between four girls, their gossip sessions about the world, shopping, love, and a big FAT wedding.
So far, three posters of ‘Veere di Wedding’ have been released, showing the actresses in different avatars; it promises a fun ride for the fans.
The film is slated for release on June 1, 2018.
