SHIKARPUR: The Sindh Action Committee (SAC) on Monday held a demonstration against issuance of computerized national identity cards (CNICs) to aliens. A large of nationalists of Shikarpur carried out a rally from Lakhidar clock tower to NADRA office. The rally was led by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) district leader Abdul Sami Bilani, JSQM central leader Asadullah Soomro, Agha Qamar Mushwani, Abdul Haleem Mahar, the Sindh United Party leaders, Naseem Mangi, Abdul Haque Suhindro, Abdul Sattar Soomro and others. The leaders strongly condemned the federal government for its policies and termed the issuance of CNICs to aliens as a ‘conspiracy against Sindhi people’ that aims to transform Sindhi into a minority. They pledged that they would resist such movement in the interest of people of Sindh. They chanted slogans against the government and demanded to halt the issuance of CNICs to aliens. Otherwise, they threatened to enlarge the protest movement. Man kills brother over cattle grazing A brother killed his elder brother on Monday over a minor issue of cattle grazing at Dili Jaan Shar village, near katcha area of Khanpur tehsil in the Shikarpur district. The station house officer (SHO), Manthar Shar informed that Hadi Bakhsh attacked his elder brother Moor Shar with an axe when he asked him to graze cattle. Consequently, he was initially taken to Khanpur Hospital and was later shifted to Larkana Hospital as his wounds were critical. But he succumbed to injuries at his head.
