LAHORE: Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sumair Ahmed Syed Monday fixed the prices of large and small packets of bread at Rs 40 and 65, respectively and issued a notification in this regard.
According to notification, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the undersigned by government of the Punjab (DC Lahore) under Section 4 of the ‘The Punjab Foodstuffs Control Act 1958’ and section 6 of the ‘Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding Act 1977’, the deputy commissioner has fixed the price of large bread packet (750-800 grams) at Rs 65 and small bread packet (375-400 gram) at Rs 40 until further orders.
The deputy commissioner also instructed all price control magistrates (PCMs) to ensure implementation of the newly fixed prices of bread.
