SARGODHA: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday said that he has zero hope of justice from the accountability courts.
“The same accountability courts that keep on calling the Sharif family in Avenfield case made us hijackers. We have no hope of getting justice from NAB courts,” PM Abbasi said while speaking at a public gathering in Sargodha.
Referring to the Supreme Court (SC)’s decision to oust Nawaz Sharif from premiership in 2017, PM Abbasi said that the former premier was disqualified over Iqama and that such decisions prove as hurdles en route to the country’s prosperity.
PM Abbasi praised Nawaz for working for the development of the country ‘despite all he has been put through’.
Continuing his tirade, the premier said that “Nawaz left his seat before the ink of the verdict dried. All allegations leveled against us hold no authenticity.”
The premier, once again, turned guns towards Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and criticised his appointment as the Upper House head.
“The public of Pakistan does not accept Sanjrani as Senate’s chairman. We do not accept an individual who made his way through via horsetrading,” PM Abbasi added.
He added that respect is earned via corruption-free politics and that those who give speeches during ‘dharnas’ are the real reason for the problems faced by the country.
