Pakistan Fashion Design Council’s (PFDC) 11th Fashion Week has kicked off in Lahore on Friday.
The show runs in a three-day event from the 9th of March to 11th of March and opened with a new segment dedicated to the curation and projection of indigenous craft, in collaboration with jewellery designer, Raema Malik.
Designer names who showcased their outstanding collections on the first day included that of Hira Ali, Hussain Rehar, Arjumand Bano and Sania Maskatiya.
Hira Ali made a strong statement as models walked the ramp with posters in hand that read powerful messages. “Anything you can do, I can do bleeding”, “fight like a girl”, and “don’t touch my rights”, were some of the messages that were written on the posters.

Hussain Rehar, the designer who started making waves with his contemporary and modern outfits last year, wowed audiences with his bold, dramatic motifs, and metallic athleisure pant-suits. His collection was all ablaze with well-structured dresses in brave and husky prints.

Meanwhile, Arjumand Bano and Sania Maskatiya’s collections were proof to the fact that print on print is here to stay.

Over the next two days, other luxury designers are set to feature their collections; these include Fahad Hussayn, Misha Lakhani, Mona Imran, HSY, Nida Azwer, Saira Shakira, Shiza Hassan, Republic by Omar Farooq, and Zonia Anwaar among others.
