Published on: March 1, 2018 6:56 PM

The Emmy-winning Pakistani-British actor, Riz Ahmed, was previously in Lahore to attend the Lahore Literary Festival in February. His panel was held with author Mohsin Hamid, who he has previously worked with on The Reluctant Fundamentalist.

Buzzing from my first trip to Pakistan in 13yrs. I’ll be posting photos / videos / impressions from this amazing country over the next week. Stay tuned…

A post shared by Riz Ahmed (@rizahmed) on Feb 28, 2018 at 1:48pm PST

The actor shared two photos from his trip to Karachi.

He also posted a picture of the room number he was staying in, in reference to his Post 9/11 Blues video.

At his panel at LLF, the actor also shared that visiting Pakistan was like visiting an ex, adding that a lot has changed since his last visit to the country. On his earlier visit, he had said, “I would love to know about and collaborate with artists here. I think we just need to know that it is okay and that we are welcome here.”

Leaving a bit of his traces behind, Ahmed also rapped at the end of his session to the audience’s surprise.

Ahmed’s assistant confirmed that the 35-year-old actor was last in Karachi after LLF but has now left the country.
