Justin Trudeau spotted with Bollywood bigwigs SRK, Farhan Akhtar and more

Published on: February 21, 2018 2:38 PM

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in India on Saturday along with his family (wife Sophie and kids, Xavier and Ella), on a state visit to focus on creating good jobs and strengthening ties between the two countries.

Even though Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not acknowledged Trudeau’s visit, with many speculating that it’s because of Trudeau’s stance on Khalistan, the Canadian Priminsiter is not expected to meet with Modi until the sixth day of his week-long tour, according to reports.

However, in the meanwhile, he recently happened to meet up with many Bollywood celebrities and business tycoons in the wake of his bright sunny days in summery India.

Names included in the list were that of Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Amir Khan, R Madhavan and Anupam Kher amongst others, as reported by Hindustan Times.

Sporting a detailed gold sherwani, Trudeau impressed all with his love admiration for India. His family turned up in traditional wear as well, with wife Sophie wearing a cream-coloured embroidered sari and pearl earrings and maang tikka to match with it, while daughter Ella sported a lehanga choli, and Xavier donned a kurta churidar.

Tonight, we celebrated stronger ties & new co-production opportunities between Bollywood and the Canadian Film Industry. And who better to help than @iamsrk himself… Great to meet you! 🇮🇳🇨🇦 pic.twitter.com/1OcwsA9lMS
