ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for Information & Broadcasting Chaudhry Shehbaz Babar has said that the parliament was the supreme institution and it had an important role for making or amending existing laws of the country. While talking to a news channel, he said that after winning the general elections of 2018, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) would bring reforms in the constitution of the country which would be part of its manifesto. He said that the judiciary was working independently in the country and the PML-N had helped in it struggle for independence but justice was still far away from the people, adding that after winning the next general elections, the PML-N and its leadership would pay special attention for providing speedy justice to the masses. The parliamentary secretary said that the provision of speedy justice would be helpful reducing crimes in the society. Replying to a question, he said that people were well aware about the politics of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and they had rejected its politics of money in NA 154 by election as PTI had failed to fulfill their commitments towards the people of Lodhran. Shehbaz Babar said that incidents of terrorism had reduced, there had been an overcome of energy shortfall, there had been an improvement in the national economy, health facilities had increased, the China Pakistan Economic Corridor had initiated, agriculture had improved and so had the road infrastructure. These were just some of the achievements of the government. He said the PML-N government wanted to complete all its mega projects before the general elections 2018. He added that there was a dire need to bring improvement in education sector. He also said that the PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz was engaging the youth of the country which was the need of the hour.
