ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting & National Heritage on Saturday organised the Pur Azam awards with a certificate distribution ceremony at the Information Academy on the conclusion of a five-day workshop on Understanding of the Violent Extremism and the Role of Media in Countering It. National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) Coordinator Mohsin Butt graced the closing session of the workshop. He said the government of Pakistan was working on a national narrative to counter violent extremism in all its forms. Students, artists and journalists from Quetta, Karachi, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Malakand, Peshawar, Islamabad and Rawalpindi participated in the ceremony. In the video documentary category, Ameer Hamza from Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering & Management Sciences, Quetta got the first prize.
