DADU: Medical superintends of Sindh hospitals and doctors Tuesday staged a protest on the call of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) against non-acceptance of their demands. PMA President Dr Ikram Tunio, Dr Amjad Mastoi, Dr Muhammad Usman Mako, Dr Abdul Razak Junejo and Manzoor Ahmed Hingoro said that a powerful team of bureaucrats and planners were planning against health officials and doctors in Sindh and warned that district and teaching hospitals could be handed over to private firms in Sindh. They condemned registration of a case against Bhan Syedabad Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Ghulam Hussain Panhwar. They demanded Sindh government to provide facilities to doctors in Sindh. “All doctors in Sindh are deprived of their rights and they are not being promoted by the Sindh government. Doctors were being harassed by DCs in Sindh, they said, and demanded the government to ensure supply of medicines to Sindh hospitals. Published in Daily Times, January 24th 2018.
