KARACHI: Sindh Assembly passed a resolution on Monday condemning Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed’s anti-parliamentary remarks during joint protest rally on Mall Road.
The resolution, presented by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Zafar Kamali, criticised Khan and Sheikh Rasheed’s comments, while also asking the two to apologise to the nation.
Last week, the National Assembly passed on Thursday a similar resolution condemning ‘anti-Parliament’ remarks of the two leaders.

On January 17, PTI chief had cursed the parliament “for allowing a ‘criminal’ (in reference to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif) to become party president of PML-N.” AML chief had also used similar statements regarding the institution during Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT)’s joint protest rally with the country’s prominent political parties.
