2017 seemed like the year when Indo-Pak collaborations in films saw the best of responses from fans all over.
While Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar and Mawra Hocane made their way to B-Town on the big screen, more leading ladies including the likes of Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar triumphed their way to Bollywood.
Eastern Eye, a UK-based publication previously announced Saba Qamar as the top Bollywood debuts of 2017, with the Baaghi star receiving tons of love for her role in the critically acclaimed Bollywood hit Hindi Medium, starring opposite Irrfan Khan.

And now, the actress has also bagged a Filmfare nominee for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category. Surprise, surprise!
Saba will be competing against Zaira Wasim for Secret Superstar, Sridevi for Mom, Alia Bhatt for Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Bhumi Pednekar for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Vidya Balan for Tumhari Sulu, for the award.
“Sometimes the co-actors become very important because your on-screen chemistry plays a vital role in the film,” Irrfan Khan said of Saba, earlier.
In total, Hindi Medium has received five nominations so far. Best Film, Irrfan Khan for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male), Saket Chaudhary for Best Director and Deepak Dobriyal for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male).
