DADU: Writers, poets, citizens and social activists paid tribute to Ustad Bukhari, renowned poet of the Sindh language at an event held on the eve of his 88th birthday at the Dadu Press Club. The event was organized by President Dadu Press Club, Tariq Leghari. Syed Altaf Shah Bukhari the elder son of Ustad Bukhari said that Ustad Bukhari was one of the poets of the Sindhi language who had lived a simple life and he was not controversial poet. He said that he had discussed common people and rural people in his poetry. He said the central idea of the poetry of Ustad remained historical and having cultural aspects. Tariq Leghari, Tabish Bukhari, Rasheed Charan and Wali Muhammad Chandio also spoke on the occasion. During musical event, singer Manzoor Sakhirani presented poetry of Ustad Bukhari. Historian Syed Hakim Ali Shah Bukhari said that Ustad Bukhari had discussed heroes of Sindh in his poetry and he had also given touches of feminism in poetry.
