LAHORE: Delay in police proceedings pertaining to women and children abuse will not be tolerated and immediate arrest of culprits must be ensured, said Punjab Police Inspector General Captain (r) Arif Nawaz Khan while addressing a video link conference at COP on Friday.The conference was attened by all regional police officers and district police officers.He said that strict disciplinary action would be taken against officers and officials for delaying proceeding.
He directed RPOs and DPOs to take steps to improve the efficiency of Anti Riots Force in case of emergency during protests and also make ensure that anti-riots squads equipped with all necessities are ready to deal with untoward incident in all districts.He directed all DPOs to devise a comprehensive strategy to put an end to violence against women and children and furnish weekly report regularly to Central Police Office Lahore.
