Pezeshkian declares full-scale war with US

Published on: July 20, 2026 6:11 PM

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Monday that Iran is engaged in a “full-scale war” with the United States. He urged the nation to accept the consequences of the ongoing conflict. His remarks come amid escalating military exchanges between Tehran and Washington.

According to a statement released by the Iranian presidency, Pezeshkian described the current situation as a full-scale conflict. He said the country must remain realistic about the challenges ahead. The statement emphasized Iran’s commitment to continuing its resistance.

Meanwhile, tensions between Iran and the United States have intensified in recent days. Both sides have exchanged military strikes across the region. The conflict has also raised concerns over regional stability and maritime security.

Additionally, the latest escalation has affected strategic areas, including the Strait of Hormuz. Officials from both countries have continued issuing warnings while military operations persist. Diplomatic efforts have so far failed to reduce hostilities.

The worsening conflict has increased uncertainty across the Middle East. Therefore, governments and international markets are closely monitoring developments. Energy supplies and commercial shipping remain key concerns as fighting continues.

Meanwhile, international calls for restraint have continued as violence escalates. Several countries have urged both sides to pursue diplomatic solutions. However, no breakthrough in negotiations has been announced.

Pezeshkian’s statement reflects Iran’s increasingly firm public stance during the conflict. Meanwhile, military operations continue across the region with no immediate signs of de-escalation. The situation remains highly volatile.
