Six people were injured in a gas leakage explosion inside a house in Rawalpindi. According to Rescue 1122, the explosion occurred at a residence in Efandi Colony, Rawalpindi. The gas leakage blast was followed by a fire, which caused injuries to six people and resulted in significant damage to the house.
Rescue 1122 spokesperson said that the explosion severely affected the structure of the building. Rescue teams arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the report and launched an operation to extinguish the fire.
All six injured individuals were provided first aid and shifted to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
Preliminary reports suggest that the explosion may have been caused by a gas leak. The blast was so intense that it caused extensive structural damage to the house.
Rescue officials confirmed that the area has been cleared following the completion of rescue operation.
Speeding car runs over two women in Islamabad, killing one on spot
A woman was killed and another critically injured when a speeding car struck them in Islamabad on Saturday, in a tragic road accident that drew an emergency response to the scene. According to details, rescue officials said the incident took place near Zia Masjid within the jurisdiction of Khana Police Station in Islamabad, where a speeding vehicle hit two women, resulting in a fatal accident, local news channel reported. The deceased woman was identified as Nazima, aged 40, while another woman sustained serious injuries.
Soon after receiving information, police teams reached the spot and shifted both the deceased and injured to a hospital for medical and legal procedures.
