Sindh Government’s Department of Sports & Youth Affairs hosts “Karachi Next AI & Innovation Summit 2026,” emphasizing modern technology and leadership opportunities for youth.
The Sindh Government’s Department of Sports & Youth Affairs successfully organized the one-day “Karachi Next AI & Innovation Summit 2026.” The summit was inaugurated by Sindh’s Secretary for Sports & Youth Affairs, Munawar Ali Mahesar.
The event was attended by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for Information Technology Ali Rashid, Member of Sindh Assembly Saima Agha, Director Sports Asad Ishaq, Deputy Director Habibullah, Section Officer Ali Dino Gopang, Assistant Director Moiz Ahmed, DSOs Fareed Ali, Ismail Shah, Sunny Parvez, Shakeel Ahmed, Muhammad Usman, Hajra Nawab, Kainat, along with personalities from diverse fields, CEOs, investors, developers, and a large number of youth from across the province.
With the support of the Department of Youth Affairs, this multi-domain summit featured detailed discussions by experts on topics including Artificial Intelligence (AI), investment, fintech, health, smart cities, digital innovation, youth leadership, and opportunities in modern technology.
Speaking at the occasion, MPA Saima Agha said that such programs should be held regularly to align youth with modern requirements. She emphasized that the Sindh Government is taking strong measures for youth development and empowerment, with special focus on bringing young people forward as per party leadership’s vision.
Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar stated that the Sindh Government is taking practical steps to provide equal opportunities for youth development. He announced that 100,000 youth will be issued Sindh Youth Cards on merit, which will provide them with various facilities and opportunities. He added that Karachi is a unique city of the country, and Sindh’s people are recognized worldwide for their hospitality.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for IT, Ali Rashid, highlighted that the Sindh Government is making significant progress in the field of Information Technology. He shared that under the People’s Information Technology Programme youth are being provided IT training and employment opportunities. He further announced that Pakistan’s largest AI Center is being established in Karachi, and the Sindh IT Tower will also be launched soon.
During the summit, the Department of Youth Affairs also organized a “Youth Volunteers & Social Action Projects (SAP)” session, where seven teams of young volunteers from across the province presented their social welfare projects. After evaluation by experts, the best two teams were selected and awarded prizes, while all participants received certificates of participation.
Participants described the summit as an effective and timely initiative for youth, expressing hope that such programs will continue in the future so that young people can play a strong role in national development through modern technology, leadership, and innovative skills.
