The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert for several cities across the country, warning of a sharp rise in temperatures from June 7 to June 12. The advisory highlights intense heat conditions affecting multiple regions simultaneously.

Furthermore, parts of Sindh and Balochistan are expected to face even harsher conditions, with temperatures likely to climb between 48°C and 51°C. Several districts in Punjab may also see highs between 44°C and 48°C under the ongoing heatwave system.

In addition, the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are forecast to experience sustained heat, with temperatures expected to remain between 41°C and 46°C. Weather experts have advised that prolonged exposure could increase the risk of heat-related illnesses across vulnerable populations.
