Services of two District and Sessions Judges of Punjab have been handed over to the federal government on deputation. In this regard, a notification has been issued after approval of Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelam. Both judges have been appointed to Banking Courts. District and Sessions Judge/OSD Arshad Iqbal’s services handed over to the federal government. Arshad Iqbal has been appointed as Judge Banking Court No. 2 Lahore. Arshad Iqbal’s appointment in Banking Court No. 2 Lahore has been made against the vacant seat. Further, District and Sessions Judge/OSD Shahzad Raza’s services have also been handed over to the federal government. Shahzad Raza has been appointed as the Presiding Officer of Special Court (Offences in Banks) Lahore. The appointment in Special Court has been made against the vacant seat. Both judicial officers have been appointed on a three-year deputation basis. The judicial officers will perform their duties on their existing pay and scale. The Lahore High Court has directed both the sessions judges to take charge of the new responsibilities immediately. Arshad Iqbal and Shahzad Raza will take charge of the new appointments till June 6, 2026. The Registrar Lahore High Court has officially issued the notification of the appointments.
