The incident occurred at the popular Mandore Garden in Jodhpur, where the child and her family had gone for an outing. The family was reportedly enjoying a ride on the park’s toy train when the accident took place.
According to the girl’s father, Mohammad Habib, the child, identified as Anayra, fell from the train after the operator suddenly applied the brakes during the ride.
He said passengers immediately raised the alarm and urged the train operator to stop the vehicle. However, according to the family’s account, the train continued moving for some distance before coming to a halt.
The father alleged that before the train stopped completely, one of its wheels passed over the child’s neck, causing fatal injuries. Despite efforts to save her, she died as a result of the accident.
During the incident, the girl’s 20-year-old cousin, Muskan, was also injured while attempting to rescue the child. She reportedly received medical treatment for her injuries.
The tragedy has raised questions about safety measures and operational procedures at amusement facilities. Family members have alleged negligence on the part of the train operator and park management.
Media reports said the child’s mother has filed a formal complaint with police, seeking legal action and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Authorities are expected to examine witness statements, operational records and safety protocols to determine whether negligence contributed to the incident.
