The prime minister, currently on a four-day official visit to China, met senior executives of major Chinese enterprises and invited them to increase investment in Pakistan’s infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing and technology sectors.

During a meeting with a delegation of FAMSUN led by CEO Zhengjun Chen, Prime Minister Shehbaz appreciated the company’s longstanding support for Pakistan’s agriculture sector, particularly in grain storage, feed production and food security initiatives. He stressed the need to reduce post-harvest losses and encouraged the company to establish manufacturing and technology transfer facilities in Pakistan through Special Economic Zones and the Green Pakistan Initiative.

Prime Minister Shehbaz praised the company’s role in projects including the Xinxu Special Economic Zone, the Sea-to-Steel project at Port Qasim, and development activities in Gwadar and northern mineral-rich regions. He assured full government support for the timely implementation of these projects under CPEC Phase II.
