Alkhidmat’s president departs for Egypt to celebrate Eid with Gaza refugees

Published on: May 26, 2026 7:38 AM

President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Dr Hafeez ur Rehman, has departed for Cairo, Egypt, to celebrate Eidul Azha with war-affected families and refugees from Gaza. During his visit, he will deliver sacrificial meat, Eid gifts, and messages of solidarity from the people of Pakistan to the oppressed people of Gaza.

Speaking to the media before his departure, Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman said the purpose of spending Eid with affected families, orphaned children, and displaced Palestinians is to assure them that the people of Pakistan stand firmly beside them in their time of suffering. He said that the people of Gaza, who continue to endure war, hunger, displacement, and relentless bombardment, need not only humanitarian aid but also compassion, hope, and a sense of belonging.

He stated that this will be the third Eidul Azha observed with Gaza victims by Alkhidmat Foundation since the beginning of the war. This year, Alkhidmat is arranging the sacrifice of 500 large and 450 small animals for the people of Gaza across Egypt, the West Bank, and Lebanon.

Dr Hafeez ur Rehman shared that 400 cows will be sacrificed in Ras Gharib, Nubaria, and other areas of Egypt. On the first day of Eid, fresh meat from 100 cows will be distributed among Gaza refugees residing in different parts of Egypt, while meat from the remaining 300 cows will be processed into “Ready-to-Eat Meat” and dispatched to Gaza in phases to support besieged families with long-term food assistance.

The President of Alkhidmat further said that a special Eid gathering and meal will also be arranged at “Ramadan City” for orphaned children who lost their parents in the war, ensuring that these children, deeply affected by conflict and loss, can also experience the joy and warmth of Eid.

He reaffirmed that Alkhidmat Foundation will continue to stand with the people of Gaza in every difficult moment and will keep delivering humanitarian aid, Qurbani meat, and the love and support of the people of Pakistan.

During his visit to Egypt, Dr Hafeez ur Rehman will also meet the Pakistani Ambassador and visit hospitals to inquire after Gaza victims receiving medical treatment.
