Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Zulfiqar Hameed praised the bravery and professionalism of the police personnel involved in the operation.

Officials stated that the latest operation reflects intensified security efforts following recent militant attacks in Bannu, including an assault on a police checkpoint in which 15 personnel lost their lives.

Security authorities said law enforcement agencies are maintaining strict surveillance on militant activities in the region and will continue operations against armed groups involved in violence and attacks on civilians and security personnel.

According to officials, the operation demonstrated close coordination between police and CTD units in counterterrorism efforts across the province.

Authorities reiterated that Pakistan would not allow any group to disrupt peace or target innocent lives, adding that operations against terrorism would continue in affected regions.

The operation in Bannu is part of broader security measures being carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to counter militancy and improve stability in sensitive districts near the Afghan border.

Law enforcement officials said investigations and search operations in nearby areas were continuing to trace any remaining suspects or facilitators linked to militant networks.
