Alleged drug queenpin Pinky sent to jail on judicial remand

Published on: May 23, 2026 9:04 AM

During the hearing of various cases against the suspected drug dealer, Anmol alias Pinky, the court rejected the police’s request to extend her physical remand and instead sent the accused to jail on judicial remand, a private TV channel reported on Friday.

According to sources, hearings for murder and drug-related cases against Anmol were held at the Judicial Magistrate’s court within the Karachi Judicial Complex.

During the hearing, investigating officers and state prosecutors took the stance that further interrogation regarding the drug network is required from the suspect, and therefore, an extension in physical remand should be granted.

The prosecution said the riders of Anmol have already been arrested in cases registered at the Boat Basin and Defence police stations, while the suspect herself remained a fugitive in these cases; thus, physical remand is indispensable for further investigation.

However, the court rejected the police’s plea and ordered the suspect to be sent to jail on judicial remand in all cases. The court directed the investigating officers to present the case challan (charge sheet) in court at the next hearing. The court stated that the investigation of the cases should be completed and the challan submitted within the stipulated time so that the legal proceedings can move forward.

It is worth noting that the suspected drug dealer, Pinky, was transferred to the Judicial Complex under tight security, where she was to be produced before the court in various cases. According to police officials, Anmol alias Pinky was brought to the Judicial Complex under a heavy contingent of police and strict security arrangements.

On the occasion of her appearance, extraordinary security measures were put in place at the Central Jail and its surrounding areas, while journalists were also barred from entering the Judicial Complex.

The police stated that more than 16 cases are registered against Anmol in various police stations across Karachi. The suspect faces allegations of murder, drug trafficking, possession of illegal weapons, and other serious crimes. According to investigative authorities, cases against the accused are registered at Darakhshan, Gizri, Baghdadi, Garden, Boat Basin, and Defence police stations, while further investigations into the alleged drug network are ongoing.

Sources state that due to the appearance of the accused, security was kept on high alert around the court to avoid any untoward incident.
