Woman arrested in Karachi drug raid, 35kg hashish seized

Published on: May 14, 2026 10:45 AM

Police in Karachi have arrested a woman accused of operating a drug supply network after recovering more than 35 kilograms of high-quality hashish during a raid in the city.

According to police officials, the operation was carried out near Khudadad Colony graveyard, where law enforcement personnel seized the narcotics and detained the suspect identified as Nargis, also known by the alias Malika.

Authorities said the accused was allegedly involved in supplying and selling drugs in upscale areas of Karachi. Investigators believe she was part of a wider narcotics distribution network operating across the city.

Police officials stated that additional suspects linked to the network have been identified and efforts are underway to arrest other members believed to be assisting in the supply chain.

The seizure is being considered a significant development in Karachi’s anti-narcotics operations, as authorities continue crackdowns against organised drug trafficking groups.

Officials have not yet disclosed the estimated market value of the confiscated hashish or details regarding its source.

The arrest comes shortly after another anti-drug operation conducted by Garden Police in Karachi, where a female suspect identified as Anmol, also known as Pinky, was taken into custody.

In that earlier raid, police claimed to have recovered a pistol, cocaine worth millions of rupees, chemicals and other intoxicating substances from the suspect.

Authorities said the woman was highly wanted and had been absconding in connection with at least 10 criminal cases. She was allegedly involved in running a large-scale narcotics supply and distribution network in the city.

Police officials say operations against drug trafficking networks will continue in different areas of Karachi, with a focus on dismantling organised groups involved in supplying illegal substances.

Drug-related crimes remain a major law enforcement concern in Pakistan’s largest city, where authorities frequently conduct raids targeting trafficking, street-level distribution and organised criminal activity.

Investigations into the latest case are ongoing, with police working to trace the full network and financial links behind the seized narcotics.
