
Maryam Nawaz said people without land will be provided free land under new housing support measures. She made the announcement while addressing a labour housing distribution ceremony in Lahore. The statement highlights expanding government efforts for low-income housing in Punjab.
She congratulated workers who received flats and said having a home is a major blessing. She noted that rising inflation and economic pressure make home construction difficult for poor families. She said providing housing to labourers is a source of great satisfaction for the government.

The chief minister said each residential flat costs around 3.5 million rupees to build. She confirmed that eligible workers are being given flats free of cost. She added that 720 flats are being distributed in the first phase of the programme.
She said 500 houses in Taxila are near completion under ongoing housing projects. She also said 100,000 homes have been completed under the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” initiative. She highlighted that 1.5 million workers have received ration cards.

She added that the “Suthra Punjab” programme is being expanded across the province. She said the initiative is being presented internationally as a model. She also mentioned she will visit Azerbaijan this week for official engagements.
