
GUJRAT – The University of Gujrat (UoG) hosted a grand prize distribution ceremony titled ‘Marka‑e‑Haq’ to commemorate the historic victory of May 10, 2025, over the archival India.

The event brought together students, faculty and distinguished guests in a vibrant celebration of national unity, courage and patriotism.
Mr Akhtar Farooq, District Police Officer Gujrat, attended the occasion as chief guest. Registrar Muhammad Naeem Butt, Syndicate Member Overseas Pakistani businessman Tariq Mehmood Sheikh and Dean Prof. Dr. Faisal Mehmood Mirza joined senior faculty members, while Deputy Director Sports Nasira Parveen served as host.
Addressing the gathering, Akhtar Farooq lauded the patriotic enthusiasm of students and underscored the importance of discipline, unity and civic commitment among the younger generation. Registrar Muhammad Naeem Butt highlighted that the ceremony aimed to recognize student participation in activities reflecting national pride and solidarity.
Prof. Dr. Faisal Mahmood Mirza and Tariq Mahmood Sheikh lauded the efforts of the varsity administration in arranging the event dedicated to national spirit and youth engagement.

Shields and prizes were awarded to outstanding students who excelled in sports and co‑curricular competitions linked to the Marka‑e‑Haq celebrations. The event concluded with resounding applause and prayers for Pakistan’s prosperity and security.
