Published on: May 11, 2026 7:15 AM

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, while extending heartfelt congratulations to the entire nation and the Armed Forces of Pakistan on the occasion of the first anniversary of the victory of Marka-e-Haq, said that Punjab Police expresses unwavering resolve in solidarity with the Armed Forces of Pakistan for the protection of the country’s internal borders, elimination of terrorism, and maintenance of law and order. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said that Punjab Police stands shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces of Pakistan like a wall of steel against the enemy for the protection of the country’s internal security. He said that Punjab Police officers and personnel are actively participating in the Marka-e-Haq ceremonies, rallies, and other programs across Lahore and the province, while comprehensive security is also being provided for all these events. He said that during Marka-e-Haq, Punjab Police officers demonstrated extraordinary bravery, immediate response, and effective coordination with the Armed Forces of Pakistan and other security institutions. Punjab Police played a key role in the protection of sensitive installations, prevention of possible terrorist activities, and securing the debris of missiles and drones launched by the enemy. IG Punjab said that several Punjab Police officers were awarded the country’s highest civil honor, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, for their outstanding performance in Marka-e-Haq. Those who received the honor include DIGs Rai Babar Saeed, Kamran Adil, Waqas Nazir, CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, and SSPs Hassan Iqbal, Bilal Zafar, and Muaz Zafar. Punjab Police spokesperson said that at the Central Police Office Lahore, the names of officers who demonstrated outstanding performance in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos have been engraved on a special commemorative wall so that their remarkable services can always be remembered.
