Officials in Gaza said the latest attacks took place on Thursday, including an airstrike targeting a security post that resulted in the deaths of at least two Palestinian police officers.
The Gaza Health Ministry said a total of nine people were killed and 39 others injured in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours. The ministry added that rescue efforts remain difficult as several victims are still believed to be trapped under rubble or lying in inaccessible areas.
According to the ministry, ambulance teams and civil defense workers have been unable to reach some affected locations because of ongoing security risks and damaged infrastructure.
The reported strikes come despite a ceasefire that has officially remained in place since October 2025. However, local authorities say military operations and sporadic attacks have continued even after the truce agreement.
Health officials in Gaza stated that since the ceasefire was announced, at least 846 Palestinians have been killed and 2,418 injured in subsequent Israeli attacks.
The ministry further claimed that the broader conflict, which began in October 2023, has resulted in the deaths of more than 72,000 Palestinians in Gaza, alongside widespread destruction of homes, hospitals and public infrastructure.
There has been no immediate official comment from Israeli authorities regarding the latest reported strikes. The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains critical, with international organisations repeatedly warning about shortages of food, medicine and emergency supplies, as well as the collapse of essential services in many areas.
Observers say the continued violence highlights the fragility of the ceasefire and the challenges facing efforts to secure a more durable peace arrangement.
