
The Sindh Police have suspended three officials following allegations of mistreatment of Aurat March activists in Karachi. The action comes after a brief detention of activists outside the Karachi Press Club. Authorities have also ordered a formal inquiry into the incident.
According to an official statement, Saddar DSP Nasir Afridi, Women SHO Hina Mughal, and Artillery Maidan SHO Nadeem have been suspended. The activists, including artist and rights campaigner Sheema Kermani, were detained during a gathering demanding permission for the upcoming Aurat March. They were later released following instructions from the provincial home minister.

Police leadership has directed a transparent investigation into the matter. Officials said action will be taken against those found responsible. The Sindh home minister also confirmed that an inquiry has been ordered. He stated that there is a zero-tolerance policy against misuse of authority.
