
Pakistan’s leadership praised the armed forces, diplomacy, and national unity at a Marka-e-Haq ceremony in Karachi on Monday. The event marked a year since heightened tensions with India and highlighted Pakistan’s resilience. Political leaders said the country seeks peace but will firmly defend its sovereignty and security.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Pakistan had endured challenges and emerged stronger through unity and determination. Speaking at the ceremony, he recalled a period of uncertainty marked by border tensions and fears of conflict. He credited national cohesion for helping the country overcome those difficulties and maintain stability.

He said Pakistan’s history reflects struggle and sacrifice since independence in 1947. He added that national strength came not only from military capability but also from courage and resilience. He praised the armed forces for defending the country and diplomats for presenting Pakistan’s stance globally.
Murad Ali Shah said Pakistan responded swiftly to Indian actions during last year’s escalation. He claimed the armed forces outperformed India in a short span of time and rejected claims of damage to Karachi. He reiterated that Pakistan remains a peaceful country but will never compromise on its defence.

Meanwhile, Sharjeel Inam Memon described the occasion as a symbol of national pride and unity. He credited past leadership for strengthening Pakistan’s defence capabilities and highlighted diplomatic efforts on Kashmir. Officials concluded the ceremony by stressing reflection, responsibility, and continued commitment to peace.
