The University of Sindh on Sunday conducted the pre-entry test for admissions to its MPhil and PhD programmes for the academic year 2026, with 1,121 candidates appearing to try their luck.
According to the university spokesman, a total of 1,121 candidates took the test, including 897 applicants for MPhil and 224 for PhD programmes across various academic disciplines. The examination commenced at 10 am and continued until 11:40 am. To facilitate candidates, three examination centres were established. The Institute of Commerce and Management hosted candidates of commerce, business administration, English, and environmental sciences, where around 270 applicants appeared. The Institute of Physics accommodated candidates from physics, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, botany, and chemistry disciplines, with 272 candidates taking the test. The remaining candidates were examined at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science.
